Ande Caine, OT, MOT
Ande has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist since 2008. She began working in Greeley, CO at a skilled nursing facility and developed her passion for helping older adults develop new skills and adapt to their changing bodies and lives after injury and/or illness. While working in skilled nursing, she found joy in helping people with Parkinson’s and became trained in the Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery program. This led to becoming part of the interdisciplinary Parkinson’s team at her facility. Her passions extended to include working with the adult driver and working at a neuro rehab clinic that specialized in driver evaluations and vehicle modifications. Working a short time in home health allowed Ande to help bridge the gap between skills learned in the rehab setting to the home environment. Missing the daily interaction with her patients and families in the sub-acute setting, Ande moved into the Director of Rehab role in a transitional rehab facility in Flagstaff, AZ. This setting afforded her the opportunity to work with many single and some double post-amputee clients seeing them through the entire recovery process from surgery through prosthetic training.
Ande recently joined the Summit Rehabilitation team in 2022, and looks forward to building on her skills with adaptation, modification and creativity to help clients regain function and resume living meaningful lives. She enjoys connecting with clients through humor to help achieve optimal outcomes.
